We arrived in Swakopmund late afternoon and after a quick pizza everyone got an early night. The next day we set off to explore the town. What better place to start than the museum? There were great displays on the culture and history of Namibia as well as an amazing natural history collection, we particularly liked the 'dead' ostrich with babies. The town felt like a European seaside resort, this was reinforced by the chilly temperature! Our hotel was right on the beach so we enjoyed digging in the sand. We had an amazing dinner overlooking the sea, everyone had seafood (obviously!).
